The Great Chamber ATV Tour:

This tour company offers a wide range of activities in the Kanab area, Zion National Park, Grand Escalante and more. We opted to do the Great Chamber ATV tour for one afternoon. The price was a bit steep for a party of five, but it was money well spent- the tour company delivered everything they advertised and so much more! Arranging the tour online was easy with confirmation promptly received. All questions via email/ phone were promptly and courteously answered. The meeting for the adventure was at Moqui Cave- an easily accessible tourist spot directly outside Kanab, near the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. The tour guide had us follow his car a short distance for the ATVs. The ATV’s were in excellent condition, helmets and necessary safety gear was supplied. Drivers were given an overview on ATV operation. We made an unscheduled stop to a tv series seen with a cavern lake. Then it was a good, winding, up and down trail to the Great Chamber. The hike to the Great Chamber is steep, with wind and blowing sand, but it is amazing exhilarating to reach the chamber and look at the wind carved rock, and the surrounding vista. The guide moves at your pace- so don’t worry about having to be a super fast climber. Once inside the cave- we were introduced to sand jumping. Climbing to a overhanging rock and jumping out into piles of sand was a blast! Once we had jumped to our hearts content it was back into the ATVs for another winding, up, down roller coaster ride to Peek-A-Boo Canyon. Here our guide took some unique pictures on our cells for us. The canyon is gorgeous. We learned about its formation, history, and some interesting stories. It was a perfect ending to a great afternoon. Thumbs up for our Kanab High School guide!
