Several members in our group wanted to try rock climbing and canyoneering. So on our transfer from Capitol Reef National Park to Kanab, Utah, we took advantage of East Zion Adventures and stopped off at Via Ferrata. East Zion Adventures offers numerous activities in the surrounding area and national parks. As beginners with no experience, we decided the Via Ferrata offered the best experience. Our adventure was booked without difficulty online. Upon arrival to the store, we signed consents, and were fitted for equipment. We followed the guide in our automobile a short distance up the road. Here we were able to don our equipment while the rest of the group was able to watch. After checking for safety, reviewing the procedure- we headed up. Those remaining on the ground were able to see us for the most of the experience. The guide took plenty of pictures which he sent via drop box to our Iphones. We were fortunate that we were the only climbers that day. Making our way down was thrilling. It was incredible! The guide was patient, courteous and safety conscious. Our adventure ended with about 30 min of time remaining- most likely due to the lack of other participants. Would use this organization again without hesitation!
